@Awmb – The view was TOTALLY amazing, except for the being a deadly drop, part. That part was kinda scary and I may or may not have freaked out a little. But otherwise? Totally amazing! – elly x

Stunning! I loves it! And I tend to think of NZ and CA as somewhat analogous in that both are about the same size and include a radical assortment of environs, but that shit is frickin’ bue-tee-fool. I can’t think of anything as adventurous in California.

@JJ – I know, I’m in LOVE with the black sand. We were late enough in the day that it was cold on top, but beautifully warm underneath. It was brilliant :) – elly x

well my biggest adventure today was cooking as you saw ;-)

@Mo – it totally was scary! I wasn’t a fan of hanging out so close to the massive cliff drop, and wussed out by suggesting we leave before anyone else did. But otherwise it was good. And cooking? TOTALLY an adventure :) I’m glad it came out well! – elly x

I agree with Lys — there’s nothing like that around here. LOTS of big hills — all pointing in toward city lights.
